Third, register your pages with the general search engines, such as AltaVista and WebCrawler, not just because it's easy to do, but because people are more likely to use general search engines than directories to find things. Get Step 3 details.
Fourth, register your pages with Yahoo, which is both a directory and a search engine. Because it's one of the best places to find things, it's popular and a must to be listed in. It's easy to find things in Yahoo but a bit tedious to register. Get Step 4 details.
Fifth, register everywhere else, especially with directories related to your business. Directories take the longest to do, because there are so many and they have differing submittal requirements. Remember that some accept long descriptions. Get Step 5 details.
